Having been in the fashion and manufacturing industry for over a decade, BeauTex founder, Brooke Jones has seen pretty much every aspect of it… the good, the bad, and the ugly! And what she discovered is that workwear is, unfortunately, such a MAJOR contributor when it comes to pollution and environmental damage.

The fashion industry alone emits 1.7 billion tons of CO2 per year, and about two-thirds of the world's clothing comes from fossil fuel synthetics such as polyester. It’s a very carbon-intensive process to make these materials and being that workwear consists mainly of polyester or polyester blends for durability… it makes sense that workwear is such a huge contributor to this problem.

Polyester clothing also doesn’t break down in landfill so in order to combat these issues, Brooke was inspired to create durable, bleach resistant workwear THAT LASTS, made from recycled plastic water bottles diverted from landfill, helping to tackle both textile waste and plastic waste at the same time.
